The Middle East buys West African oils and butters in volume. Some of it is used where it lands, in food manufacturing and personal care. A good deal of it is refined or repacked and moves on again, which is why quality and consistency matter more here than speed.
Orders are larger and less frequent than anything we handle at home. A buyer will take a full container, sometimes several, and then not come back for a quarter. What they want in return is certainty: the same specification every time, the paperwork right first time, and a shipping date that holds.
It is a market that rewards patience. Relationships take a season or two to build, and buyers check carefully before they commit. Once they do commit, they tend to stay, and they order to a schedule you can plan production around.
Buyers here do not want the cheapest shipment. They want the same shipment, every time, with the papers in order.
